Dear Incoming 6th grade families,

Good afternoon!

We continue to be excited and ready to help you and your student transition to middle school. Here is the Welcome to Bryan Presentation for your family to view.

In the presentation, you will find the following:

  • Welcome: Jacquie Discipio, Principal

  • Academic Information: Lindsey Rowe, Team Leader

  • Staying Organized: Abby Thomas, Team Leader

  • Parent Tips for Transition: Maggie Pack, Incoming 6th grade counselor

  • Nuts and Bolts of BMS: Tara Nunes, Dean of students

  • Getting Involved: Mr. Sheehan, Assistant Principal

Please take some time to review all of the information found in the following presentations. After you watch them, we encourage you to review them with your student.

Again, as a reminder, here are the upcoming dates to support 5th to 6th transition to Bryan Middle School.

  • Tuesday, May 4th: Virtual Student Presentation

    • A virtual student presentation will be sent to students and 5th grade teachers with information regarding middle school.

  • Thursday, May 6th: Optional Parent Zoom Drop In

    • After parents have reviewed the parent and student presentation, parents can choose to attend an optional question and answer session via zoom.  At 6:00pm, members of the Bryan team will be available to answer any questions. Parents should RSVP using this form to the event.

  • Thursday, May 13th: PTA Parent to Parent Meeting

    • Incoming 5th/6th grade families PTA parent to parent panel via zoom at 7:30pm.

  • Monday, May 17th: Student Visits

    • Incoming 6th grade students will be visiting Bryan during the school day. The Bryan team is working with the elementary schools on this event. Students will be able to see classrooms, the eating locations, and get a general sense of the building. They will also get a chance to meet Bryan staff members.

We look forward to welcoming you and your student to Bryan next fall.

Take care,
