Dear Parents,

Congratulations to our 8th graders! It felt really nice being together last night at BMS. It was a total team effort to make last night’s celebration happen. Thank you to all of our Bryan staff who pitched in as well as Jen Langley and Diane Schenkenberg and all of the PTA volunteers who helped make the night special. We wish our 8th graders all the best of luck in their future endeavors.

We are excited to share the BMS virtual awards assembly with our Bryan community. A very special thank you to Mrs. Zivko for her efforts in putting this keepsake together for our students.

We all made it! This has been a challenging year for everyone. I am so proud of the resiliency of our students and staff for all of their efforts in the 2020-2021 school year. I want to take this opportunity to thank a few people.

  • Mrs. Myszkowski and Ms. Smith: These two do a million things each and every day to help support students, parents, and staff. They are the hub to all information and are working the front lines every day.

  • Mrs. Hecker: Our nurse, Mari Jo, has gone above and beyond this year. Her workload tripled this year with all things Covid. She was patient and thoughtful with each student and family. We wish Mari Jo well in the next chapter of her life as she and her family are moving soon. She will be greatly missed. Nurse Hecker will still be accepting new Physicals/updated immunization records throughout the summer.

  • Mr. Motto, Mr. Barrett, and Mr. Smith: Our maintenance staff was running around constantly this year...moving furniture out...moving furniture in...disinfecting things all the time. We are grateful for all of their work to help keep us safe this year.

  • Mrs. Jenn Hall and Mrs. Hilary Simonds: This was no ordinary year, but our PTA stepped up and met the challenge. They were focused on the well being of our students and staff and helped support all of us during some challenging times. Their latest Fun Fridays in the cafeteria have been a hit! Kudos to Hilary and Jen and all their hard work!

  • Mr. Sheehan and Mrs. Nunes: I am grateful for the support of our administrative team-especially this year. Their student centered focus and solution based approaches were extremely helpful this year. Thank you team!

  • Mr. Johnson: Mr. Johnson put together the virtual promotion ceremony for our 8th grade community. These celebrations were wonderful to watch! We are very grateful for both of these staff members for all of their hard work putting them together!

  • Mr. Berg and Mr. Snyder: These two truly helped make our in person diploma distribution in the auditorium a success. The orchestra students did an outstanding job playing at our event!
