6th Grade Social
6th Grade Swim Social RESCHEDULED APRIL 24TH, 6-8 p.m. PLEASE RSVP BY 4/21
Please let us know if your student will join in the fun on Sunday, April 24th from 6-8 p.m. at the Oak Brook Park District indoor pool!
RSVP HERE if your student can attend. This social is for current 6th graders only (no siblings).
PLEASE NOTE: The pool will be supervised with lifeguards, however, it is encouraged that all children know their swimming abilities. OBPD does have life vests and puddle jumper floats available, but anyone needing a flotation device needs direct supervision by an adult. NO big floats that would hide the bottom of the pool from our lifeguard’s vision and no hard throwing toys are allowed.
We will also need parent volunteers, moms, and dads to lend a hand and be able to manage any issues that arise in the locker rooms. You can sign up to volunteer HERE.
Please also note that by signing your student up to attend this event serves as your acknowledgment of the OBPD policies and expectations. View the OBPD Waiver.
Lastly, the effort will be made to provide allergen free foods, however, the PTA cannot guarantee an allergen free event. Ingredient lists from food vendors can be obtained in advance by parents and ingredient lists for packaged foods will be available at the event. Parents are encouraged to discuss food choices and ingredients with their student prior to the event. Parents are always welcome to send an appropriate snack with their student and provide their own supervision by attending the event. Pizza and mini waters will be offered courtesy of the PTA.
Please reach out to Laura West (lwest9@gmail.com) or Shelley Muisenga (shell.muisenga@gmail.com) with any questions. Thank you to Laura and Shelley for working so hard to schedule this not only once, but twice!

7th Grade Pool Party: Saturday, June 11th
We had so much fun last year, that we decided that there was no better way to start summer than with a pool party to celebrate the end of 7th Grade. Please join us for a Bryan 7th grade pool party at Bensenville Pool on Saturday, June 11th from 7:30-9:30 pm. Sign up HERE.
Open to all current Bryan 7th graders. You must RSVP by Wednesday, June 8th, below with your student's name in order to attend. Students must bring their ID. A phone number where a parent can be reached must also be provided.
Students must comply with all Bensenville Pool Regulations. The pool will be supervised with life guards, however, it is encouraged that all children know their swimming abilities. Anyone needing a flotation device needs direct supervision by an adult. NO big floats that would hide the bottom of the pool from our lifeguard’s vision and no hard throwing toys.
We will also need parent volunteers, moms, and dads to lend a hand and be able to manage any issues that arise. Volunteer spaces are below.
PLEASE NOTE, that by signing your student up to attend this serves as your acknowledgment of the Bensenville Park Department's policies and expectations.
Additionally, students are representing Bryan Middle School. This is a school event. We know the kids will be excited to start summer but they are expected to behave appropriately with their peers and to respect any directions given by pool staff or adult volunteers; including appropriate behavior in the pool, on the pool deck, in the restrooms, and locker rooms and by placing their trash into the designated garbage cans.
Failure to obey the requests of the PTA volunteers and/or the Bensenville Pool staff will result in parents being contacted.
Additionally, while students can leave earlier than 9:30, they will not be released from the pool unless a parent comes inside the pool area to pick them up. Once students leave the pool party, they will not be readmitted.
Water and snacks will be provided. The PTA cannot guarantee an allergen free event. Parents are always welcome to provide their own supervision by attending the event. Sign up HERE.
